The planner is a portfolio stress test. You choose capacity, scenarios change available energy and demand, then the model dispatches every hour to show reliability, cost, emissions, imports, and unmet demand.

Choose the portfolio

Set installed MW for each technology under a budget. More capacity gives more options, but every MW has a cost.

Stress it with scenarios

Weather, hydrology, demand growth, and cross-border availability change the system conditions before dispatch.

Dispatch runs hour by hour

Renewables, hydro, batteries, thermal, and imports are stacked against demand across the 24-hour forecast.

Mode: baseload

Thermal capacity is represented as the baseload layer in the dispatch stack.

Metrics show tradeoffs

The result highlights cost, emissions, import reliance, hydro use, unmet demand, and other warnings for the next iteration.
